What is the opportunity?
The RBC Capital Markets Client Intelligence team plays an integral role in support of the firm's key strategic client initiatives. The Client Intelligence team is part of the Business Resource Management division which supports all global businesses within Capital Markets including Global Markets Sales & Trading, Corporate Banking & Investment Banking.
The CI team is responsible for ensuring accurate client revenue reporting and leverages internal data (revenue, resource utilization, CRM interactions) and external data (competitor benchmarking, client provided scorecards and feedback) to deliver analytical business insights. The data and analytics provided by the CI team empowers the business to make more informed decisions on its clients and supports its formulation of sales and client strategies.
Working Hours: 8.00PM - 5.00AM (North America Time Zone)
What will you do?
- Ensure client hierarchy data integrity by identifying and remediating issues that impact revenue reporting
- Leverage CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage client records, account hierarchies, and entity mappings
- Analyze and cleanse datasets to produce actionable insights that inform client strategy and business decisions
- Establish and maintain data quality controls and process governance frameworks to ensure consistency and accountability across remediation workflows
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in client data management, trade reconciliations, reporting, or business systems analysis
- Strong understanding of client hierarchies and their application in financial systems
- Demonstrable experience working within CRM platforms such as Salesforce, specifically in managing client records, account hierarchies, and entity mappings
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage cleaned datasets to produce actionable insights that inform client strategy and business decisions
- Experience establishing and maintaining data quality controls, process governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and accountability across remediation workflows
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments

- Passion for data with strong attention to detail with proven ability to identify data inconsistencies and drive to remediate issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences
- Strong critical thinking and investigative skills; ability to trace root causes, challenge assumptions, and solve complex data problems with rigor and curiosity
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, cleansing, aggregation, workflow automation
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, charting, and data manipulation
- Data modelling experience including logical and physical models that represent hierarchical relationships and translate business requirements into data structures
- Bachelor's degree or higher
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks or metadata management tools
- Awareness of corporate actions and their impact on client hierarchies
- SQL proficiency including query optimization, complex joins, subqueries, and performance tuning across multiple database platforms
- Practical experience with Python for data analysis and wrangling; ability to write clean, maintainable code
- Knowledge of relational databases and data governance best practices
- Exposure to enterprise data warehouse environments
- Experience working with data architects
- Background in client data management or master data management (MDM) systems
