Role Overview

We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join our growing AI/ML team. You will work on building and deploying AI solutions that directly impact our product and business. This role combines software engineering best practices with cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI/ML solutions from data pipeline to production deployment
• Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and other AI models for insurance domain applications
• Create and maintain scalable ML infrastructure and data pipelines
• Collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into AI solutions
• Conduct experiments and research to improve model performance and efficiency
• Write clean, production-grade code with proper testing and documentation
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in ML engineering or AI engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering principles
• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
• Experience deploying ML models to production
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and algorithms
• Experience with data pipeline and ML infrastructure tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and transformer architectures
• Experience with NLP tasks and applications
• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar)
• Contributions to open-source ML projects
• Experience in the insurance or fintech domain
• Experience with GPU optimization and distributed training
